Thanksgiving & Kool-Aid.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent the day with my family and eating way too much delicious food.

It was a long drive, but between great conversation, stellar dance moves, & lots of singing it made it all worth it.

 

We spent the evening with Mac and went out on a search for kool-aid at 8pm during the ambitious thanksgiving day shopper crowds....

When a craving hits....it's game over

He was pretty tuckered out from the kool-aid adventure so Nick carried him up to bed.

We have so much to be thankful for this year.

Early Christmas Gifts (for Mac).

Christmas came a little early in our house this year....

And seeing as Christmas Eve is our little man's 1st birthday we decided to spoil him a bit...

^ Someone got a new kennel...

The lady at the pet store saw us looking at this kennel/tent and said "oh you must have a big dog, a great dane?"

Nick and I both kind of smirked and told her Mac was an airedale. This kennel is probably "technically" too large for him, but I don't want him cramped up and not able to sit up straight when he has to be in there (which lucky for him is not very much)
 But what can I say, I love him so much & he deserves to live like the king he is.

16 Week Baby Bump & Insomnia

Haven't been able to sleep much this past week.

Just can't seem to turn my brain off at night.

Hope you all joined me in buying maternity pants for Thanksgiving! ;)

And I may be getting slightly annoyed that I hear "You don't even look pregnant!" 5-20 times a day. I can't help it ok....

I'm ready to not just look like I ate a large thanksgiving meal.

As most of you know, I mainly talk about my husband & my dog on this blog.

Well lucky for all of you, we will be adding another member to our family in May 2015!

Snow + Mac

When we woke up to the first snow fall, I must admit it was beautfiul, but then the reality of having to shovel and put on winter boots set in.

Mac was prancing, leaping around, digging his nose as deep as he could into the snow, he was like a kid in a candy shop.

He continues to paw and bark at the door to go outside and play in the snow at least 30 times a day.

I hate to deprive him of something that makes him so happy, but his little puppy paws track so much snow back into the house.

I have a hard time saying no to him.... I mean look at that face?!

I usually enjoy the snow up until the middle of January and then I can't stand it anymore.

I don't think Mac will ever get sick of the snow.

But for now, I am going to enjoy it right along with him :)

I found this neat picture of an airedale serving in the british army from many years ago.

It's estimated over 3,000 Airedale's died during WWI.

The last 2 weeks have been so frigid cold and I have had a few days off of work, so Mac & I spent the days just hanging out together.

Inside, with the fireplace roaring, in comfy clothes, with my best friend. . .  what more could a girl ask for?
