Bath Time

I was running my bath water and went to go grab some clean linens.

When I came back to take a nice relaxing tub bath.... this is what I found.....

 

Changing Seasons

You might think this blog has become mainly about my dog, and you're right it kind of has....

But I write about what I know and document by taking pictures of the things I love . . .  and right now that consist of my family.

^ I mean come on, how cute are these two?!

We have been trying to get out a few times a week out on the trails to get Mac's energy out and to get fresh air for Nick & I.

The fall, crisp, cool air is sometimes the perfect thing to help me relax and forget about all the day to day hassle.

Work is very busy, bill's continue to come in the mail, my calendar is overbooked, the house could use a good deep cleaning before winter comes. . . the list goes on.

But we have made a conscious effort to take time for the 3 of us to enjoy this season of life and this season of fall as things change fast... it is so important to live in the moment and not always be looking for what the next best thing is to come (even though I am getting excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas and its only September!)

Enjoy this short season of 2014 & of life. Before you know it, it will be winter.

2 Years

Today is our 2 year wedding anniversary.

I can not believe how fast time has gone and how much we have learned from one another.

We spent the weekend celebrating my best friend's wedding!

 

 

Nick gifted me these amazing rings. They are my new favorite piece of jewelry!

I have thee most patient, kind, loving, compassionate, selfless, humorous, handsome husband & I know everyday just how lucky I am that I get to spend my life with him.

Unique Love

These two are inseperable.

Where ever Nick is, Mac will be there.

Kitchen, bathroom, garage, outside, bed, shower, car, couch. . .. .

It is a unique and rare kind of love that we have for our dog. It is so unconditional.

Mac has taught me so much in his 8 months of life....

 messes can always be cleaned up

 a good walk can cure most things

 cuddle like there is no tomorrow

food is worth getting excited about

play/have fun until you literally can't anymore

to be patient

wake up each day like it is going to be the best day in the world


Mac I don't know if your little puppy brain will ever understand how immensely you are loved.

MN State Fair

I guess when you've been to the fair for about 15 years. . .  your bound to go a time or two when the weather isn't picture perfect.

But with a bucket of cookies in one hand & cheese curds in the other, I was doing just fine.

                                                           ^ i don't appear to be having fun, but i was ;)

Jill's Night

I got to help throw a bachelorette party for my best friend whose upcoming wedding I am in.

Everything was a surprise to her..

And a surprise isn't complete without a blind fold ;)

Being around family is so special.

Ethan + Melissa's Wedding

We got to travel to Wisconsin to celebrate our good friends' wedding! It was so much fun see everyone and catch up. We boarded Mac for the night so he got to see all of his friends and get to play too!

You'd think after having 6 weddings already this summer we'd be getting sick of them.... but each one is so special in their own way. Plus we love a good meal, good friends, and a good dance floor.

Early Morning's

For Nick's birthday back in Febuary I gave him an unlimited golfing pass for our city.

I finally was able to join him out on the course one gloomy morning. Of course I insisted we take a cart because I was not in the mood to walk 18 holes.

There is something so wonderful watching someone you love do something they love.

I appreciated Nick allowing me to join him golfing. I know that is kind of his thing he likes to do to relax and just enjoy the day.

 I was sitting in the cart complaining it was too hot, now its too cold, why is it so windy out here.... being impatient as we were behind a group of 4 elderly gentleman. I had to go to the bathroom by hole 6, I was thirsty.... I am so sorry Nick.

Glad he was able to put up with that and let me see him play a game he loves.
