keeping up to date on current family pictures is a priority of mine. everyone is so right when they say time flies, and that baby's don't keep and that they change SO fast. why, why, why must they change and grow up so fast?!

mothers day

we celebrated nash's first birthday on saturday and had the best time with family and friends. that little boy is so loved by so many people.

for mothers day we got the house cleaned and organized from the birthday celebrations.

nick enlisted some help to get some yardwork done that i may or may not have been nagging him about for a little while ;) thanks nick! (and steve) for sprucing up our yard


and we also loaded up our bikes and a cooler of snacks to go on a bike ride along some of the most beautiful paths just alongside the river.

nash really likes going for bike rides, we got him a trailer that nick pulls behind his bike. its so fun to hear him squeal and point out things he sees!

i am the luckiest mama in the world.

and to my own mother, thanks for being a wonderful example. and to all you mothers out there, treat yourselves, you deserve it!

happy valentines day!

this year for valentines day we spent the day appreciating just being together as a family

last year on this day i was laying in the hospital scared that my baby boy was going to make his entrance into this world much too soon, thankfully i carried him to the day before my due date

love is a powerful thing, as is prayer

 

we did some last minute shopping for our upcoming trip to california. nash got his very first basketball. nick splurged on a go pro for us. it really has been a great investment. getting to capture so many memories with it is priceless to me.

we hope you had a wonderful valentines day spending it with those you love. whether that means your dog, cat, friend, family, children, or significant other.

Childrens Museum

today we decided to go explore the children's museum. since nash doesn't go to day care it is always really amazing to see him interact with other kids and babies. he is just fascinated by them and thinks the older kids are so funny.

nothing like stepping on one of N's toys to put me on cructches and cause me to have a serious foot injury

i can handle the pain, but the fear of the vasospasms and having a cold blue numb foot peridoically is driving me insane

its the not knowing that is frightening

a big thank you for all who have helped me and my family out during this time. we are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends

despite the cold winter

not leaving the house but once or twice a week for food

spending hours in front of the fireplace

playing with toys, diaper changes, early bedtimes and incoming teeth

mac is our wild child. . .

he is getting a little stir crazy this winter. so am i mac. so am i.

he always keeps us on our toes, he can annoy us to no end... yet we love him so much and can't imagine life without him
