Joseph Kony

If you don't know his name yet watch this:

This video went viral on March 5th, 2012. It has nearly 10 million views and will continue to be shown and seen by the world to make Joseph Kony famous.

Now do i feel terrible for not having heard his name before this all? Yes. It makes me sick to my stomach that it takes something as big as this to reach my ears via the internet (youtube, facebook, twitter etc.) I desire to be more educated on the global issues. But this also shows us that through these social medias. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

I believe in this cause. Entirely. This man needs to be found and held accountable for his crimes. However, there is always skepticism when something like this happens. There has been much talk and debate about the company that is funding the mission to find him. "Invisible Children"

Did I buy an action kit? No. But that will not stop me from taking action. No. My fiance and I have the means to produce the signs/posters. So we will be printing and hanging up our own on April 20th, 2012 at sun down.

If you are skeptical of these non profit organizations, that is okay. It is your right to be. And with the reputation of America being money hungry and business just trying to climb the charts in revenue, we all have a right to question where are we really putting our money. Please don't let this mind set skew your perception of this issue. Take action. Spread the word. Let's show this generation and be role models for generations to come that we care for all human beings. The countries may be separated by water, but the people of this world can now stand united.

Where yes it is true, once we find this man and get justice. There are 100 more men like him waiting to arise to power. The short term goal is to show the world that now, in 2012 we stand as one against acts and crimes such as this. It is the whole principal we are supporting, not soley the capture of just one man.

Joseph Kony. Child abducter, children soilders, sex salvery, rape, murderer. Let's give him as much publicity as we give "celebrities".

  1. I'm by no means an expert on this issue at all..but I did some work with Invisible Children in in my college years...one which was spending the night on the lawn of the capital for over 24 hours to raise awarness from the people that have the power to really do something about this.

Like I said - I don't know everything..but from my 4 years of experience..invisible children is an awesome organization that has done a tonnnnnnnnnnn in a relatively short ammount of time to put an end to this.

    Thanks for posting.
