To conclude the ladies side of my wedding party ~saved the best for last ::wink::
Miss Mattilyn was my roomate freshman year of college.
We came into it not knowing each other, and quite frankly not getting along very well. At one point she left dirty dishes on my pillow in my bed. [good thing i forgave her]
Over the past 4 years Mattie has become a true and dear friend to me. She is constantly making everyone else feel good about themselves, but never saves any of those compliments for herself.
A few facts about Mattie:
-she is obsessed with her two fat kitty's
-she has 2 closets full to the brim of clothes
-she is a photographer
-she has 1 tattoo
-she is going to be a registered nurse soon!
-she never gives herself enough credit
Mattie is in most of my best memories through out my college career. She is such a dedicated friend, always willing to help me with whatever. She knows exactly what to say to cheer me up.
She's been with me through my homesick first few months of college, to my "wild" phase, to my self-loathing venting sessions, and most importantly supporting Nick and I from the beginning.
Let's just say from a questionable beginning, came a lifelong friendship. It has been hard me being in a city an hour from our original school, but Mattie and I have stayed just as close as ever.
She's the hottest beeetch i know. So blessed to have her as my best friend.
first picture together [move in day] [yikess]
So folks, there you have it. My 4 favorite girls. Ironically enough this weekend we are bridesmaid dress shopping! And I absolutely cannot wait!!
I love you all kittens [jill, carrie, megan, mattie]

Wedding Party v.3 [mmz]
I met Megan freshman year of college. We didn't become that close until sophomore year when we became roommates.
Our favorite memories are from when we lived together. We went on many adventures together, including picking up a cat from some sketchy farm in Wisconsin. I honestly don't even want to share a lot of stories. I think that some are special that just stay between me and Meg.
Like the time Meg played piano in an old dorm meeting hall, while I sang and danced, or that gorgeous red and black checkered couch we picked up in the worst blizzard of the winter.
The countless nights of getting ready together. Spending new years together is also another wonderful memory I have.
Megan and I were inseperable during the summer of 2010.
Even though we have been seperated by distance the last year and a half since i had to move for the nursing program, I still feel inseperable from her.
One of the lasts nights of this summer me, meg, nick and cody sat outside enjoying cocktails at a restaurant that used to be an old train station and just talked. The thing i most enjoyed about that night is that yes we did look back on fond memories, but mostly we talked about the present and the future.
I met Nick because of Megan. To be honest, I don't know if i would have ever met Nick if I hadn't become friends with Megan.
We helped each other through all the drama that comes with college, school, relationships, missing our family, looking back at high school memories, wondering how our lives would end up.
Megan is my best friend. And I could never and would never get married without her standing on my side.
Megan, you introduced me to my husband, to my other best friend, to my soul mate. I am eternally grateful.
Even though this past year has been hard, and our friendship has changed... it really hasn't changed. You are still my best friend. The one I run to, the one i know that will tip my chin up and say "hey, stop, you have me, we'll figure it out."
Can't wait for all the memories to come. :)

Wedding Party v.2 [CSP]
Meet My Wedding Party
First thing is first. "Where did you get those knee pads?"
I met Carrie in 6th grade, at a volleyball meeting. She had a different brand of knee pads than all the other girls (she didn't get the memo since she was home schooled). So i asked her, kind of half making fun of her.
She has always been not afraid to stand out and be her own person.
Now unlike my other maid of honor Jill, Carrie actually played sports. We played volleyball, basketball, softball, dance, and were in the drama/ school plays together from 6th grade till we graduated.
Lets just say we always seemed to be the odd ones out, but i know that we had the most fun of anybody.
-
Here are some facts about Carrie:
-she was home schooled
-she has the deepest passion for music and God than anyone i've ever known
-she has 1 tattoo
-she just spent an entire semester in Australia
-she bought a bright red electric guitar
-she considers clothing a form of art
-{she use to have a fake lip ring}- now she has a real one, and a nose ring as well
-she claims to be organized, but i don't know what color the carpet in her room is, since its always covered in clothes.
-she loves garage sale-ing and vintage sales.
Faithful.
Faithful. Describes Carrie perfectly. Even when i went to college 4 hours away, even when i would bicker with her about pointless things, or when i disagreed about a boy situation, or when i fell away from God- she was there. She is so faithful to our friendship. She has pulled me up when i was at my all time low, and she is there to be happy with me when i'm at my all time high.
Carrie has such a beautiful heart. Truly beautiful. We have the best talks about life, love, hurt, politics, government, death, religion. We keep each other grounded. She is the kind of friend every girl wishes they had.
We were made to be friends. I wouldn't be who i am without her.
Ever since 7th grade, its been me, carrie and jill. The 3 of us complete each other. We all have our strong points, and our downfalls. We are all so similar, yet different.
For everyone that is confused that i have 2 maids of honor..Be confused i guess. Because i refuse to get married if i can't have my 2 best friends in this whole world, up there with me with the title of maid of honor.
How lucky am i? I am worthy enough to have 2 maid of honors.
With us three running this wedding...its going to be the wedding of the century.
Pssh Kate Middleton and Prince William got nothing on us :)
Oldy pics.-
do you ever think when looking back at old pictures....what the hell was i thinking? yep i know that feeling too...
Too many memories, traditions to talk about. Just know these 2 girls are my best friends, my sisters, and my maids of honor.
Love,
Marissa

Wedding Party v.1 [JMM]
So to kick off Meet my Wedding Party I am featuring my best friend and maid of honor Jill.
Jill and I have been friends since we were 13, and have gone through a lot together. The good, the bad and the ugly.
Jill and I seem to always be in the EXACT same situations. Whether it is personal relationships, our relationships with our parents, and the often boredom and annoyance that comes along with growing up in a small town.
Don't get me wrong we made the best of our small town lifestyle, but deep down we both have always known we were destined for greater and better things.
Here are some interesting facts about Jill
-she was home schooled.
-she went to college for 1 semester in Chicago.
-she has 3 tattoos.
-she has 8 piercings .
-her second toe is longer than her big toe.
-she has 3 beauty marks in a row along her collar bone.
-she sold all of her clothes except for 3 items at one point.
-she now works at an upscale salon in the cities.
Jill and I had many first experiences together, cigarettes, skinny dipping, road tripping, hitchhiking {ha jk mom :)}
She brings out the spontaneous side in me, but keeps me grounded. I could not imagine getting married without her right there by my side. She has been there through thick and thin, even when i was being ridiculous. But mostly she was the ridiculous one. ;)
We encourage each other to follow our hearts.
We are each others angels.
I always wanted a sister, but little did i know i had one this whole time.
XX- listerine pockets.
Enjoy this Saturday afternoon. I am off to finish taking engagement photos!
