All I Needed

I won't ramble about my stressful Monday. Every Monday me and my 3 best friends get together, take turns cooking, and play a game. Food, friends, laughter, wine & dessert.

It was all I needed to turn an awful monday around
Never take your friends for granted.

A place is only as good as the people in it.

Around my blogsphere

Here are some of other posts/images by lovely blogs i follow that have inspired me this week.

Over at A Sparkley Silver Lining these yummy looking blueberry banana pancakes have made me want to eat a scrumptious breakfast today!

Here at Selective Potential has got me so excited to take some fall pictures, and maybe splurge on some cute new fall pieces.

And Lune Vintage posted this beautiful image of such a beautiful organized, crisp, home. I will be making a trip to ikea soon to hopefully find some treasures to make my apartment feel a little more homey.
What has inspired you this week?

Newlywed Wednesday

I love just being dumb and weird with Nick. Sometimes i feel like we are the strangest people. But we love to make each other laugh and love laughing at each other.

He tried to get a bad picture of me while i was sleeping (that doesn't exist) lets just say i got him back.

Doing stupid things like this make me feel a little less stressed. I feel like all of a sudden i have so much responsibility: nursing, wife duties, insurance, phone plans, my own health care/insurance, spiritual growth, nicks well being.

Sometimes a girl just has to have some immature fun with her husband.

We are still working on thank yous, getting even more excited to get our wedding pictures back.

Nick is in the city tonight for work so i will be spending tonight and all day tomorrow by my lonesome :(

I heard this analogy somewhere: absence is like wind is to fire. So if the wind(absence) blows out the fire, it means it was a pretty small/weak fire, but if the wind fuels the fire and makes it bigger, it will just keep growing.

Basically what i am saying is if distance or time apart from someone you are in a relationship isn't strengthed by that absence. . . . you probably aren't with the right person.

 my two cents.

M

ps- i haven't seen nick in 10 hours and i already miss him? is that considered head over heels in love? or just plain needy?

Ze Weekend

We completed our first home decor improvement project.

Despite buying the wrong size handles and having to do 3 layers of paint. I think it turned out quite well.

This weekend consisted of lots of laundry, cleaning, organizing, thank yous, and eating.

I am about to begin working my overnight shifts, so i have off this rainy day and will go in tonight at 11pm. I'm planning on sipping coffee, making kombucha tea, dusting, and lounging in my pj's.

Who else likes fixing up old vintage furniture? Any tips for future projects?

Newlywed Wednesday

So since we got married on Saturday, it feels like we have been running to the bank, setting up gifts, running errands, cleaning, unpacking, working.

Does it ever end?

Tonight has been our first night to have dinner together and watch t.v. It is kind of chilly out tonight so i am lounging in my hubby's sweatshirt, since i was too lazy to get my own out of our closet.

Can't wait till I get on my normal work schedule and Nick & I finally feel settled into our apartment.

Orchard

We are back home finishing up wedding things.  The rehersal and dinner is already tomorrow night, and then Saturday is the big day.

We went to the Orchard for lunch to try to just have a normal conversation about anything other then wedding planning.

It is very easy to lose communciation with one another amongst all the hustle and bustle.
